Ketamine is a legal psychedelic medication that can create hypnotic, dream-like, or even fully dissociative trance states. In the brain, it facilitates development of new neuronal networks, which in conjunction with psychotherapy can allow for individuals to bypass maladaptive pathways that have developed over time in response to chronic trauma, stress, anxiety, pain, etc.

Psychedelic medicine can induce a spectrum of feelings including deep tranquility, empathy, novel insights, heightened consciousness, creativity, and appreciation. It may lead to receptiveness to alternative viewpoints, a sense of unity, renewed sense of self, and ability to transcend one’s typical patterns.

Absolutely! When it is prescribed like it is for our retreats, ketamine is a legal psychedelic medicine.

We administer ketamine through an intramuscular (IM) injection, which results in a faster onset of action and has the potential for more profound and impactful psychedelic experiences than alternative delivery methods such as intravenous, sublingual, or intranasal sprays.

Our retreats are open to adults aged 18 and over. Adults can be from anywhere in the world, as long as they agree to come to California for the retreat. Prior to attending a retreat, participants must complete a medical and psychological screening to ensure that psychedelic-assisted therapy is safe and appropriate for them.

Our retreats typically last several days and involve a combination of individual and group therapy sessions. Participants will be provided with comfortable accommodations, nutritious meals, and guidance and support from our trained therapists and facilitators throughout the retreat.

Payments:

- Initially we will collect a deposit that is fully refundable if you are not accepted. The deposit is payment for us completing your intake and screening you for medical and psychological indications and contraindications to retreat participation. If you are accepted to the retreat, we will collect your remaining balance to secure your spot.

Cancellations:

- Cancellations 30+ days prior to the retreat start date will be credited 100% of the amount paid, which will go towards a future retreat of your choosing that starts within 12 months of the original retreat start date. For example, if your original retreat was set to start October 6, 2023, if you cancel you may select any retreat with a start date through October 6, 2024 to apply your credit towards.

- Cancellations 14-29 days prior to the retreat start date will be credited 50% of the amount paid, which will go towards a future retreat of your choosing that starts within 12 months of the original retreat start date.

- Cancellations 8-13 days prior to the retreat will be credited 25% of the amount paid, which will go towards a future retreat of your choosing that starts within 12 months of the original retreat start date.

- Cancellations 0-7 days prior to the retreat will not be given a credit or refund of any kind.

- Please note that if after being accepted to a retreat, you develop a condition for which ketamine is contraindicated (e.g. heart failure or active psychosis), we will work with you to either 1. have you still attend the retreat at a discounted price since you can't receive ketamine or 2. refund the entire amount paid.

In addition to the above, we understand that life happens and things come up. If you experience an illness, a loved one's death, or some other urgent/emergent situation arises that means you cannot attend the retreat, please let us know and we will decide on a mutually agreeable solution.

Our cancellation policy was created with the recognition that we put significant time and expense into retreats before, during, and after each retreat. We need to pay our employees, venues, affiliates, etc., and that is why (as above) typically credits will be given, rather than refunds. The policy is intended to honor participants and Transcendelic employees and affiliates alike.

No, you do not need to be living in California. We welcome people from anywhere in the world! It is legal to provide ketamine-assisted therapy to you when you are physically located in California for our retreats, regardless of where you are coming from in the world.

First of all, ketamine is legal when prescribed like it is for our retreats, so it is very unlikely to cause any problems for drug screening. Additionally, ketamine is not usually included on drug screens. If you have a unique situation that is causing you to worry, please reach out to discuss this further with us.
